RGB lighting. Something very simple, seen from your everyday devices, Christmas tree lights, and other multitudes of uses. Some may call it "just lights" but it can definitely be more than that.

With this in mind, we've developed Razer Chroma - the most advanced and intelligent lighting ecosystem. With Razer Chroma, RGB lighting is not just about the lighting - but the customizability and immersion it brings.

Razer Chroma made its debut with the Razer BlackWidow Chroma, which was launched on the 13th of August, 2014. Since then, we've incorporated a whole slew of Razer Chroma enabled devices that let you light up your world. Since then, we've also been bombarded with requests to add Razer Chroma on everything - from mice, to headsets, to mousemats, to the mythical Razer Toaster. With all these requests, we've decided to allow everyone to bring Razer Chroma where they need it.

Introducing the Razer Chroma Hardware Development Kit

The Razer Chroma Hardware Development Kit allows you to have Razer Chroma lighting outside of your gaming peripherals. We've used a few kits to illuminate a typical gaming setup:

The Razer Chroma Hardware Development Kit comes with double sided adhesives on the module AND the LED strips to allow you to mount it anywhere. Additionally, we've included extension strips that allow you to have that extra reach. We also have specially engineered LED matrix addressing that allows each LED to be addressed separately. This means that advanced effects are available through programming, which are not in regular LED strips. With the Razer Chroma HDK, we'll be seeing advanced effects that sync with gameplay as well, giving you that sweet immersion.

The Razer Chroma HDK allows you to bring Razer Chroma where you want it. What creative ways can you think of to put your Razer Chroma HDK on?

Advanced Software

The Razer Chroma HDK comes with the BETA version of Synapse 3, where we can see a preview of Chroma Studio, set to replace the Advanced Configurator, and will come with more promising features that allow you full control of your Chroma Devices like never seen before. The features you love in the Advanced Configurator are still there - but better. I'm very excited for the coming changes and updates, so check back frequently!

All Razer Chroma-enabled devices are accompanied by an open SDK that allows developers to create amazing experiences with the multitude of lighting options available on these award-winning devices.
